God's Sword of Truth - The Word

Prophets and Preachers

By The Holy Spirit's Disciple, Raymond Laginess

Since John the Baptist, the only person close to a prophet in the New Testament was the Apostle John, who wrote the Book of Revelations of Jesus Christ.  He wrote of things past, present, and to come.  After this book, the last Book of the Bible, there was no need for any other prophet or prophecy in the ages of man to come.  It has all been foretold. It takes us to the end of the earth, and no man can change it.  God gave us the Bible, which covers the history of man from the Alpha to the Omega.  After the Book of Revelation, the Book of Life takes over in heaven. Revelations 3:5; 13:8; 17:8; 20:12-15; and 21:27.

For any man to come along since the Bible and say he is a prophet, he is not of God. Satan is the only spirit who would add to or take away from God's Word. He has changed it and put different gods or christs in the Word.  Jesus warns us of such tricks, or attempts of Satan.  Jesus said that many false prophets and anti-christs would come in the last days.  He told us this in the Olivet Discourse.  It is very strong.  Read Matthew chapter 24, Mark chapter 13 and Luke chapter 21.  These chapters will make you aware of what is coming in the last days in particular.  No denominational religion can state that they have a man who is their head, or leader, who is special in some way.  No one can say that he is a prophet, or infallible, or a Jesus come again the flesh or in any form.  No man can be the head of the Body of Christ, but Jesus Himself.  The Bible states that only Jesus is the Head of the Body of Believers.  Read Ephesians 2:20 and 1 Peter 2:5-6. He is the Rock we build on, the Foundation of the Body. Read Luke 6:46-49 and 1 Corinthians 3:11.

All Born Again Believers are the Christian Body of Christ's Church, not denominational churches.  The Church by name is not a structure or place, but members in the flesh as a whole, walking in the Light of the Holy Spirit.  Born Again Believers need not join a denominational or church (building) or fellowship.  They are already members when they are born again into it by the Holy Spirit.  The Body in a location is all the believers, such as they are spoken of in the Bible   The Church at Rome or Corinth....these are all the believers (the individuals, not the building or meeting place). They all fellowship together.  They do not break up into small groups so they can be with the ones they like or believe as they do - just like the Roman Catholics, Lutherans, Baptists, Latter Day Saints, Presbyterian, Orthodox, Seventh Day Adventists, Jehovah Witness, Christian Science, Scientology, Methodists, Protestants, Evangelicals, Mennonites, Moravians, Amishs, Friends/Quakers, Brethren, Promise Keepers, Christadelphians, Episcopalians and Congregationalists, etc.   Most Christians do not know what the true Body of Christ really is. We are all one.  We fellowship as one when-ever or wherever we are.  There is no special day or hour to meet, no holy day, sabbath day or new moon.

When the Body of Christ meets, the Holy Spirit picks some Pastors, Teachers and Evangelists for the perfecting of the saints (Ephesians 4:11-13).  The Holy Spirit picks them, and He teaches them.  Not some man's Bible Schools.  The prophecy of the Bible and Word of God is not of future events.  These have been already covered by the Book of Revelations.

All prophecy today confirms the Word that is written. Prophecy cannot be added to or taken away from the Word.  There are many denominational religions (like the ones mentioned above) with their Preachers, Pastors, Ministers, Priests or Reverends etc., who think they have been called by God, but in fact, have been called by the flesh, Satan.  The Bible states few have been chosen (Matt. 22:14).  They may even think or say they are called of God and believe it, but they go to man's Bible Schools and are taught by Satan and his religion of custom and tradition.  They may start out wanting to serve the Lord, but in Satan's Schools, they are misguided and mistaught.  If they would have asked the Holy Spirit to guide them and teach them, they would have been better off, for Scripture states only the Holy Spirit can pick and teach the Body of Christ about spiritual things of the Bible.  The Holy Spirit does not require a college degree or a master mind or a great man for Him to each the Word.  He has the best results with a simple, loving, open-hearted man.  Read about Nicodemus in John 3:1-15.  All the Holy Spirit needs is an open heart seeking God and salvation in Christ. True Pastors are chosen when they are needed for the Body.  The same is true of teachers.  When a true pastor or teacher of the Bible talks or teaches, he does not compromise any of the Word in any way.  He teaches all of it, just like it is.  If a Pastor or Teacher teaches Law (Ten Commandments), Tithes, Sabbath or Holy day, or come to church (building), or sacrifice, or works, or service, that Pastor or Teacher is not teaching the Word of God.  He is not Scriptural.  He is teaching another bible, another gospel, and another christ.

You see, most of Preachers, Pastors, Ministers, Priests or Reverends etc. need your support to live, to keep going.  They have no faith in God to provide.  Most of them are building world empires or structures, buildings, property, etc.  They need you and your money.  Some of them are getting very rich.  They live very well...far better than Jesus did.  Scripture states in Revelations that such people are wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked.  Read it in Revelations 3:15-18.  The denominations of today have property, banks, interest in things, riches and more.  None of these things are Scriptural.  They shall all soon melt away in fire when God's wrath is poured out.

If there is one hungry child or person in the world, one family who needs help, one widow or orphan in need, then God have mercy on churches (denominations and religious) who have money in banks drawing interest.  Sell all you have and give it to the poor if you want a closer walk with Christ.

Today, more than ever, in the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, He is the only One in charge of the Body of Christ.  He appoints as I have said.  He is the Teacher.  This is God's Word on it.  I'm not using my interpretation, but the Holy Spirit's.  He is my Teacher.  You cannot use your knowledge or wisdom to understand the Bible.  You use the Holy Spirit.  You do not need rules, laws, sacraments, creeds, liturgy, rites, observances for you are not under these.  You are under Grace.  You are free in Christ. "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." Galatians 5:1.

Many denominational religions say they preach the Word and that their Pastors are holy men of God and blessed.  But you see it is not the men who are blessed, it is the Word that God blesses.  It is the truth, not man. There can be bad Pastors or Teachers in the flesh, but if they preach or teach the true Word of God, it is blessed.  It is the Word that God blesses. The Word never goes out void.  The Word saves man.  You never compromise the Word.  You teach it all, and you never worry about numbers of members or head counts. You don't count God's blessings by numbers; that is Satan's bondage.  A man's worth is not counted by membership in a church.  The Holy Spirit is the counter, not man.  You can tell a true fellowship by the blessings of love and truth and spiritual growth in their lives.  They overcome the world and Satan.  They have no needs; God meets them all.  They have no wants.  They are looking for the return of Christ.  They all want to go home (heaven with Christ).  They want nothing on this earth.  True Christians are only stewards for Christ until He comes.

There is one warning I give you.  You can't fight man's systems, his religion, government, and beliefs.  All things of this world and its systems shall be burned up in the end.  Nothing of man or this earth is forever, only heaven and God.  Anyone who fights the system and/or belongs to it shall perish with it.  You must come out of it.  Be not a part of it.  Take nothing of it....especially that part where man's religion is in control   When you accept Christ, you belong to Him and His World, heaven.  You are not of this earth, only in it. You are now a steward for His Word.  You take your life and let is shine for Christ.  You are hot for His Kingdom.  You are a witness of love.  Let your light shine. Let your fruit feed the lost.  You are now free in Christ.  You need no man or any of man's beliefs or religion.  There a no penance, bondages, or laws for you.  You can truly live in Christ and He in you. No religion can tell you that you need any of the above.  If you thing you do, you have missed what He has done for you.  Look up the meaning "free in Christ".  He is all you need.  Fellowship is not even a part of salvation.  It states in the Bible that you should forsake not the assembly of yourselves.  That is not a commandment or law. It is a condition.  It is good for you.  It helps you to be with other Christians, especially in the latter days for strength against the world of the devil.  Remember that John the Baptist never fellowshiped.  He was a prophet of God and had a special mission in this life.  No Apostle ever pastored a Church (Body of Believers).  They preached Christ and those hearing and receiving the Word were added to the Body in that city.  They became the Body of Christ in that area.  They then left the area to preach the Word elsewhere.  They were always spreading the Word in the World.  In all the books of the Bible (New Testament), the Apostles wrote warnings of Satan and his evil and sin against the Body wherever they went.  When you know your enemy, you know who to fight, and you can only beat him by the Word and Jesus.  Remember what a true fellowship is.  It is controlled by the Holy Spirit.  He knows no age group, no sex, no creed or color.  Where the Body is, He is there.  He is in control  No man can do that.  The Christian does not pick which body to attend, nor does he move to another if things doesn't suit him, or if his ears are not being tickled.  The Word, when preached as written, always convicts us from our sin.  Only by the Word can we hope to grow and live a better life in Christ.

Can you, by faith, stand against the world?  At a time when all of man, the world, flesh, and Satan comes at you, can you be an Abraham?  A David?  A son of God?  How much do you love your Lord God?   Can you really trust Him in all things?  He is my Lord God.  There is no other way.  He is the Creator.  I, for one, can say "Yes, yes, my faith is that deep.  I believe when all else fails."
