God's Sword of Truth - The Word

Keys of the Kingdom

By The Holy Spirit's Disciple, Raymond Laginess

Without the “Keys of the Kingdom” there is no salvation - no knowledge - and no understanding of the creation. In saying this, I do NOT refer to a “physical” understanding of man, but rather a “spiritual” understanding which is a gift of God - “But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things...For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth...” (I Cor. 2:10-13). The keys are given by the Holy Spirit (3rd Person of the Godhead - I John 5:7) to the “open heart” of the person who is truly seeking the Lord. “... behold, the kingdom of God is within you.” - Luke 17:21

It is the ministry of the Holy Spirit that adds to the Church (body of Christ) daily as He sees fit - Acts 2:47. He knows each persons heart whether they are worthy or not, and each must ask the Lord Jesus to come into their heart in order to be “Born Again”, not of water but of the Spirit, for “...whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” - Ephes. 4:30 The initial moment of a person’s salvation refers to the time when a person extends a trusting and submitting faith in Jesus Christ for his/her own personal salvation, the moment when one passes from darkness to light, spiritual death to life, from Satan’s power to the power of the Lord by the Holy Spirit (John 5:24; Acts 26:18; 1 John 3:14) Amen!

The Keys of the Kingdom open ALL knowledge and understanding of the WORD, and you cannot possibly know the Lord Jesus without His Keys (the Holy Spirit). Therefore, you cannot use your own mind, or count on the wisdom of man to teach you from a pulpit in man’s churches because Satan’s religions of the world cannot possibly give you knowledge of the Word which would point you toward salvation. It is ONLY the Holy Spirit that inspires the scriptures - II Peter 1:20-21 - “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”

No religion, denomination, or non-denominational group has any special authority or control over these keys, for they are given ONLY by the Holy Spirit Who knows the heart of the seeker. The keys give the believer power from on high by the Holy Spirit Who is our Teacher (John 14:26), Guide (John 16:13) and Comforter (John 16:7) of the “body of Christ” on earth. He is our Intercessor, our Mediator to Jesus and Producer of the New Birth (John 3:5).

You can only be saved by the Holy Spirit Who at Pentecost gave us the power and strength to overcome the flesh and Satan in this life. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment - “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.” - John 16:7-11.

“...greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world” - I John 4:4 All works and blessings we receive in this life come from the Holy Spirit. He is our silent voice in the spirit. It’s the voice in our spirit that teaches, guides and protects our soul and spirit. Keep in mind, He does not force, He is our spiritual guide to Jesus.

Our understanding must come from the Holy Spirit and not after a man or his belief or understanding. It must come from the WORD of the Lord by the Holy Spirit who wrote it ALL. It cannot be interpreted by religion - any religion - for the Key is only by the Holy Spirit whom Jesus sent us as our guide - He did not leave us in the hands of a man or religion - “...God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts” - Gal. 4:6.

Understand this, there is no religion of man (denominations) on this earth who has a key to the kingdom of heaven, their keys open the gates of HELL, and not one will understand the WORD by religious customs, traditions, or rules of man, holy orders or any supposed sacraments of grace, these are ALL phoney. YOU ARE SAVED BY GRACE, a Gift of God, NOT OF WORKS; you cannot earn it or work for it - period! When one becomes a Christian, he/she is God’s temple and the Spirit dwells in them. Even the body is a temple for the Spirit of the Son’s dwelling (Gal. 4:6), and ONLY by the Spirit is one able to say, “Jesus is Lord”.

If you do NOT have the right key (the Spirit of His Son) you will not be able to open the gates to heaven and your name will not be in the book of life, and, Only the Holy Spirit knows the names in the book of life because He puts them there. No church of man has that right, privilege, control or power to do that. Only you can make the decision if you want the Spirit’s control, rather than man’s control - the Word says “... be filled with the Spirit” - Ephes. 5:18. Test all spirits, even mine. The Holy Spirit will show you in your heart where my heart is. If you know Jesus you will know me for we are ONE in His Spirit by His Word. Read I Cor. 2:13.

“But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.” - I John 2:27
