God's Sword of Truth - The Word

Do Not Look To Me

By The Holy Spirit's Disciple, Raymond Laginess

There is no salvation in man.  There is nothing that I can do to save anyone.  When I write, I write of the Word (KJAV New Testament Bible) and what the Holy Spirit has taught me.  When I write about me, I can be wrong.  I cannot carry anyone.  I can warn, advise and guide - but it is YOU who makes the final choice.  You should not believe in me or in any man, but believe only in the Word of God by the power of the Holy Spirit.

We are all ONE in the total Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 10:16-17) and we each have a gift to edify the Body (Romans 14:19 and 1 Thessalonians 5:11).  We must remember that there are no holy men, as we are all saints saved by Grace.  No one man knows it all.  No one man interprets the Word of God for you.  The Word tells us to study to show ourselves approved (2 Timothy 2:15).  Test all the spirits (1 John 4:1) as it is only the Holy Spirit that can teach you the spiritual things of the Bible (1 John 2:27).  You cannot gain spiritual growth from another human.  You cannot go to a building or attend a religious service to gain spiritual growth.  You can only grow by the Word of God through the power of the Holy Spirit which occurs only when you allow it (when your heart is open).  There is no special place or time that the Holy Spirit is available, as He is always there.  We are the problem, we keep looking to a place or man, to an event, and continue to use our feelings to experience God.  The answer is how and when we grow is in the Word .....find it, read it and allow the Holy Spirit to teach it to you.

There are many Pastors who think that they have to go out and visit their people in order to strengthen them or carry them in their faith.  This came out of man's religious training in bible schools.  It is as though the people can do nothing of themselves...and they feel that they need a holy man, priest, pastor, reverend, rabbi, cleric or preacher to look up to in order to receive their spiritual strength.  That is not of God.

Look at man's religion today....where has it taken us.  Look at the condition of the world....man has led us to destruction and hell.  Read the Bible and see how many times it warns of man, his customs, traditions and religions (Colossians 1:28, Matthew 15:3-9).  There are many men, like Jim Jones, Billy Graham, Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn, Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, Jack van Impe, Sun Myung Moon, Louis Farrakhan, Tim LaHaye, Paul Crouch, Bill Bright, Robert Schuller, D. James Kennedy, James Robison, Jim Bakker, Rex Humbard, Hal Lindsey, Gary Bauer, L. Ron Hubbard and Jimmy Swaggart (to name a few) in the world...who may not be poisoning the body but are poisoning the soul by false teaching.  There is no salvation in man in any form.  Why do you think there are so many religions?  It is because Satan has something for each person.  Anyone can have their ears tickled to their liking.  There is a religion for all, and each one has a way to destruction and hell.  Read the Word - ground yourself on the Rock of Christ by the Holy Spirit.  God uses man through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  He picks some, pastors and teachers, to guide the Body to the Word and its truths.  Faith comes by hearing the Word, growth comes by reading and studying for ourselves.  It is how we feed the soul.  It is our faith and what we believe, it is our salvation.  Each person is going to be judged by what they have done, not by what someone has told them.

The point that I am trying to make is that you do not look to me or any person as a source of salvation. I know where my gift comes from and Who has taught me.  I teach people to look to the Holy Spirit, not man and man's religion.  I urge people to study the Word by the power of the Holy Spirit, and I urge fellowship with all born again Christians, where ever they are.  We are all one Body, one fellowship...all members, and are born again in Christ's birth.  We are not a demonination, but are called Christians.  We are guided and taught by the Holy Spirit, not man.  We come to Jesus by the Holy Spirit, not man.  We grow in faith by the Holy Spirit, not man. When the whole world fails, and man and his religions fail, we can stand on solid ground, the Word of Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit.  I tell you to ground yourself on Christ, the Rock and His life in the Word.  Can you be an Abraham?  For all that Abraham had was his faith....he looked to no man.  Every person shall stand or fall based on their stewardship.

What I teach and what I write is what the Holy Spirit has shown me in the Word of God.  It is not of me.  I am a man and subject to error.  I have a body which is in the world and it suffers just like any other person's body.  I am a sinner saved by Grace.

As a disciple of the Word of God, by the power of the Holy Spirit, I am duty bound to show others where it is in Christ Jesus through His Spoken Word.  Each of you must check it out in the Scriptures and let your heart read it, with the Holy Spirit as your Guide.
