RAYMOND
WENT HOME TO BE WITH LORD ON DECEMBER 19, 2007
To all of you who have come to
know Raymond Laginess over the years and through this web page, I,
Norma, his wife, would like you to know that he has now acquired that
which he has longed to obtain, his “citizenship” in heaven (Phil.
3:20). Raymond went home with the Lord on December 19,
2007. Raymond has always said: “This world is not my home...my
citizenship is in heaven with my Lord.” To those words my dear
Raymond, we all say Amen!
Lisa, myself and all his
brothers and sisters in Christ are rejoicing in the Lord and pray you
all do the same with us for the happiness that we feel for our Raymond
(husband, father and brother in Christ), even though we will miss him
more then words can say, he is where we are all striving to be - in
heaven for all eternity with Jesus Christ – let us remember that there
is nothing better then that. I know he has heard the words -
"Well done, thou good and faithful servant - enter thou into the joy of
thy Lord." (Matt. 25:21) The Word of God tells us that we
are spirit, soul and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23) and that, for us who
know Jesus Christ as Saviour, to be absent from the body is to be
present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8). Amen!
Raymond was a witness of Jesus
Christ and taught the Word right up to the day before his leaving, and
his last words spoken to me were “Lord bless you double” as I attended
to his care before saying good night.
I say to all of you dear
brothers and sisters in Christ, please continue to: “Fight the good
fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also
called, and hast professed a good profession before many
witnesses.” And, may we continue daily to give ourselves wholly
to His purpose: “forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching
forth unto those things which are before…press toward the mark for the
prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 3:13-14).
Thank you all for your many
e-mails and comments over the years. To all of you who are
overcomers and love the Lord Jesus Christ and long to be with Him each
day as we do, we will meet one day soon and be together in the presence
of the Lamb Who died for all men – “For God so loved the world, that he
gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
With peace in my heart (only
because of Christ),
Norma (Raymond’s help mate)
